Yay! We are offically on the wait list!

I was so excited when I got the email saying that we are officially on the wait list...I can only imagine how much more excited I will be when we get the referral! Natalie said our dossier is on its way to Washington DC for final authentications. The Gladney staff in Ethiopia can now start matching a child to our family. This is such an exciting time for us, we just can't wait to see what God does during this time. We are expecting great things!
We are also excited to start our adoption training through Gladney. Both Andy and I really enjoyed our training through Hope's Promise. We just learned so much. I have heard such good things about the Gladney training and I can't wait to start.

For those of you who have been through this waiting period...any tips on what we can do to help pass the time???

Congratulations. To make the time pass, just live your life. Enjoy every moment for all that it has to offer. Enjoy the family that you are now and look forward to the family you will become. It is easier said than done, but if you are very aware that what is to be will be, you will endure the anticipation with much more enjoyment...and always remember that the wait after you receive the pictures of you little one is much more difficult than this one.

A friend of mine recently purchased a necklace off of your mothers site, and I absolutely fell in love with it. On there was a link to your site, I hope you dont mind that I am leaving a comment. My husband and I are also in the process of adopting from Ethiopia. We are waiting for our Dossier papers. I am glad to see that you are moving along with such a amazing experience.

congrats!!!!!!!!!
the best thing for me was that I really focused on enjoying my time with brooklyn. It was the last time I would have one on one time with her. Now I am VERY glad that I was purposeful to enjoy that time, because it's not the same anymore and it would be easy to wish I had enjoyed that time more before I lost it. Now when I look back I know I was as purposeful as I could be.
It is always hard to wait and being focused on Blakely won't change that but at least you can take time to celebrate her.

getting a room ready is always helpful too ! :)

How about gardening? Cooking? Sewing, knitting or crocheting a baby blanket? A triathlon? Climbing Mt. Everest? :)
