Did anyone else have a horrible time of getting the Proof of Health Insurance letter??? I am covered under my employer and I think I will have them just write another letter stating that I am covered, but Andy and Blake are not covered through one of our employers. I have been calling all these different people for the last hour and a half and no one is willing to help me at all...Grrr! I even called our local heath insurance office to see if they could write the letter and sign it and I would bring the notary in, but they will not help...they sent me to customer service and customer service said they could send me a letter but it definitely would not be notarized. I have a call into Gladney to see what they suggest, but this is so miserable! I had a feeling this was not going to be the easiest thing to get. Dear God, please give me patience and grace because I am rather frustrated!!!

thank you for letting me vent a bit. whew. I'm ok now.

This was the most FRUSTRATING part of the whole process to me so far. It took me 3 months to get the letter and get it right. They would send me one and Natalie (at Gladney) would tell me it had to be redone because something would be wrong with it. The last time they sent me one and it was wrong I had a complete breakdown in the middle of my office...I'm sure my coworkers thought I'd lost it. Natalie ended up letting me type up something and having it notorized seperately certifing that it was my health insurance letter & that I had coverage. It worked to get us thru everything up until the dossier. We aren't sure if it's going to work for that or not. We hope so but we won't be sending in our dossier for a few more weeks. Hopefully Gladney will be able to help you out.

I feel for you in your difficulty getting your letter. We were lucky with that letter. Our employers just wrote a letter stating we and our new daughter would be insured. On my most recent blog, you can read my frustration with my MD notarized letter. I hate to admit it, but it down right depressed me. Dont you hope this is the worst of our problems? Good luck and know you are not alone in the frustration, unfortunately.

I am so so sorry Britlee. I was chatting with your mom today and she told me you were having troubles so I thought I'd come read. I wish I could be more help. Did you contact the HR department of where you work and maybe they can light a fire under the insurance company? Praying things go better and you get that letter soon.

Our insurance people said the same thing. Seriously, these health insurance "customer service reps" are incorrigible. Where's the service?

We're in the same process of attempting to get this letter perfected.

If ours happens, I'll make sure to loan you our magic wand.

:)
